Personal Experiences

Led by Richard Eost, Trust Lead for Personal Experiences (Careers, Sport and Creative Arts), our Personal Experiences Team works to ensure every pupil benefits from opportunities that enrich their education, broaden horizons and support personal growth.

At Shires MAT, we believe education extends beyond academic achievement. Through our Trust-wide Personal Experiences Offer, pupils access a rich and varied programme of opportunities that develop confidence, character, creativity and aspiration.

Built around our core values of Nurture, Equity, Service and Wisdom, the programme provides a progressive pathway from EYFS through to Post-16, while allowing each school to retain its unique identity and strengths.

Careers

We help pupils explore future pathways through meaningful encounters with employers, universities and training providers, alongside careers events, mentoring and work-related learning opportunities. Our aim is to raise aspirations and help pupils make informed choices about their future.

Sport

Our sporting programme promotes participation, wellbeing, resilience and teamwork. Through competitions, festivals, leadership opportunities and inclusive activities, pupils develop confidence, commitment and a sense of belonging.

Creative and Performing Arts

Pupils are encouraged to express themselves through music, drama and the arts. Trust-wide performances, showcases and creative opportunities help develop confidence, collaboration and a lifelong appreciation of the arts.

A Shared Commitment

By bringing together careers, sport and the arts, we ensure every pupil has access to high-quality experiences that prepare them for future education, employment and life beyond school. Through collaboration across our schools, we create opportunities that are inspiring, inclusive and transformational.
